The post break-up anthem 'Part Of Me'
Fresh from her stellar performance at The Grammys in Los Angeles last night, Katy Perry has unveiled the lyric video for her pumping new single ‘Part Of Me’.
Speculation is rife as to whether the song is targeted directly towards Russelll Brand as the song sees Perry slam an unnamed ex-lover with caustic words.
She sings: "You chewed me up and spit me out like I was poison in your mouth. You took my light, you drained me down, but that was then and this is now."
Later on she adds: “You rip me off your love is cheap. Was always tearing at the seams, I fell deep and you look me down. But that was then and this is now, now look at me.”
Lyrics aside, it’s a damn fine song too! Watch it now below.
‘Part of Me’ is lifted from the upcoming deluxe version of Katy’s second album ‘Teenage Dream’, entitled ‘The Complete Confection’, which is released on Monday 26th March.
