Forth One

From 2pm till 3pm every weekday we hand control of the music over to you in the 2 o' clock Takeover.

Let us know what song you want to hear in the takeover and not only will you hear it played on Forth One but you will have the chance to come on air and introduce and dedicate the song you have chosen.

To take part please email your request below, then if sucessful a member of the Forth One team will give you a call back to record your introduction and dedication. There will also be a prize draw every week for everyone who takes part.

3. Five things we don’t know about you
1. I’m a bit of an aviation anorak which means I like to look at planes – the ultimate thing would be to get on a trip into space but due to my complete lack of understanding when it comes to physics, I won’t be becoming an astronaut any time soon. 
2.  I once did a parachute jump and despite being trained in countless ways to land, I still managed to hit the ground face first. 
3.  I am a lifelong Liverpool fan and have been passionately in love with Kenny Dalglish since I was thirteen years old….even taking a job selling pies at my local football club in the hope of getting a bit closer to him on match days…so yes, I have stalking tendencies. 
4.  I have a dog called Jerrard who frequently likes to drag me around various parks in Edinburgh.  
5.   Never ask me to sing at Karaoke – In my head I can sing...others seem to think differently.

4. Career History
Began my career in radio at 15 answering the phones and making coffee at my local radio station. After going to uni I went to work as a journalist and then ended up co hosting the breakfast show.

5. Career highlight to date
There have been so many – getting on stage at T in the Park with Paolo Nutini, meeting the Prime Minister, drinking with the Stereophonics the list goes on, I really do have the best job in the world.

6. Your favourite Scottish event of the year? 
It’s a close run thing between T in the Park and the Radio Forth Awards.

7. If you could change one thing about Edinburgh what would it be? 
One word.  ‘Trams’

8. What gives Edinburgh its edge?
There are people from all walks of life in the city making it feel very cosmopolitan and there is always something going on so you are never short of something to do.

9. What is your favourite band/music act of all time and why?
I like everything and anything.

10. Which fashion accessory could you not live without?
My Hermes Birkin Bag

11. What is Edinburgh’s best kept secret?
A full Scottish at the Kings Wark in Leith

12. Favourite childhood memory? 
Playing on the beach with my sister

13. Clubbing in Edinburgh – where’s hot?
Not a full on club but you are guaranteed a good night at Electric Circus on Market Street

14. Who is your favourite celebrity and why?
Kenny Dalglish – see above

15. Who is the most interesting person you have interviewed and why?
Ian Brown from the Stone Roses, he’s been there, seen it, done it and bought the T shirt but still has his feet firmly on the ground.

16. If we gave you £1k what would you spend it on?
Paying off my overdraft

17. Why do you love your job?
There’s something different every day and we are paid to have fun

18. If you were not a presenter of Forth One what would your dream job be?
Pilot or Astronaut

19. What do you do to relax?
Hot bath and a book.

20. What excites you?
Getting ready to go to the airport on holiday – it’s better than the holiday itself, that or an Aston Martin DB5

21. What do you love most about your life?
Everything – great job, great friends, amazing husband and family.
