Sad news today that Steve Jobs has died aged just 56.
This is the guy who launched Apple Computers and it’s not an exaggeration to say that he actually changed the world.
He had an amazing gift; and that was to take something and make it simple and brilliant. The iPod changed the way we listen to, buy and consume music.
The thing about Apple gadgets is that it’s almost as if someone said “wouldn’t it be really cool if….” then they’ve gone and made it.
“Wouldn’t it be really cool if… you could have your entire record collection in your pocket”
“Wouldn’t it be really cool if… you could then just randomly shuffle your songs”
“Wouldn’t it be really cool if… you could then use the same gadget to make phone calls”
“Wouldn’t it be really cool if… you could then use the same gadget to surf the internet, play games and read books”
Well someone did say those things, and sadly yesterday at the tragically young age of 56 his life was cut short by cancer.
Who knows what he would have come up with next? One things for sure; it would have been awesome and you would have wanted one.
